Now Playing Tracks

Art, music, cocktails, and food all weekend long. Seriously, after reading soul music, ribs and brownies, I began to rearrange my entire weekend schedule in my head. Might have to check this out

I enjoyed seeing Theophilus London before at Merriweather (though the entire councert set up was AWFUL). Should I be a good productive adult and go to sleep tonight or run to the W to check him out again?

Despite the fact that I work in health psych and constantly promote healthy eating and exercise, I LOVE TO EAT! Despite being a “ballin’ on a budget” graduate student, I LOVE EATING OUT! Miami Spice was made for me.

$22 for lunch and $35 for dinner at some of the best restaurants in Miami for TWO MONTHS. Yes, it’s like Restaurant Week on steriods down here.

Wait. Games and drink specials. You are saying I can challenge strangers to Twister and win a brunch somewhere? I’ve already dance battled at Bingo for a pedicure. I am not afraid *begins stretching* I’m so in. So very, very in.

Vegan brunch?!

I love to try new things. I also try to be healthy and have been adding vegetarian meals slowing into my daily routine (my arteries and waistline are thanking me). When my friend suggested vegan bruch, I thought “Why the hell not?”. It was alright…ok. The sweet potato hash was amazing, but some things need butter…like waffles. I would go again though. The setting is record shop so it’s a pretty cool way to spend a lazy weekend morning.
